Chief Executive Officer

A well-established company on the cusp of change, SEHC had developed and promoted internally over their 20+ year history, but this was the first time the large Board had to look externally and run an interview process for a role an executive hire.

The Challenge

SEHC needed to hire a CEO who could set them up with a solid new product roadmap, build and maintain trusting relationships with their client-base, and develop a strategy for growth. The former CEO had been promoted into the role internally, so the board had to look externally for a leader for the first time ever and needed to align their many different voices.

The Solution

Through in-person meetings, we developed an understanding of their current needs and challenges, their plans for the future, and their learnings from the successes and failures of former leaders. We helped them build the position profile and created a search process that would enable them to effectively assess the experience, character, and potential of executive candidates.

 

The Artemis team facilitated each step including sourcing, interviewing, creating feedback loops, creating rubrics to compare candidates, and led the decision-making process.

We were able to find the ideal candidate in Mark Ross. Mark not only had the technical, personal, and leadership skills needed to be successful in the role, but he also had family ties to Tavistock (the small community where SEHC is based).

 

The SEHC board now has tools and experience to help guide them as they company continues to grow and succeed.
