VP People & Culture - Makeship

Who Is Makeship & How Are They Changing the World?

Makeship’s mission is to help the world transition to the creator economy. They do this  by scaling physical product creation and distribution for content creators in the same way Youtube scaled the creation of content. By allowing creators to bring a physical manifestation of their creativity to life, Makeship allows creators to develop an incredible emotional connection to their fans. Ultimately, Makeship believes in a future where anyone can become a content creator and that their individual creativity should be celebrated.

Makeship empowers influencers, creators, and brands of all sizes to develop and launch customized limited-edition products that matter to their fans. Leveraging their own design, manufacturing, and marketing expertise, they work with their partners to bring their product to life through Makeship’s community-powered crowd-funding platform. Once funded, Makeship produces and ships the products worldwide with sustainability at the forefront of their process. With initiatives like carbon offsetting, reusable packaging and recyclable mailer bags, Makeship strives to mitigate the environmental impact of their products and manufacturing process.

As a bootstrapped startup with around 70 employees (fully remote team), they have an impressive ARR number, big goals ahead and they are well-positioned to continue to scale.
