Powerful new quantum technologies promise tremendous benefits (think innovation in medicine and energy), but also pose serious threats to cybersecurity. evolutionQ is the first company worldwide dedicated to offering the full suite of services and software products organizations need to manage their quantum risk and protect against the threat of quantum computers being used to break existing security protocols that protect all of us. 

They’re not alone in sounding the alarm: President Biden has signed 2 directives recognizing the need to mitigate the risks quantum computers pose to national and economic security.

Founded in 2015, they have 20+ employees across Canada and Germany and some of the most brilliant minds in the industry - led by world-renowned quantum computing experts Dr. Michele Mosca and Dr. Norbert Lütkenhaus.


They are creating a new standard to help Fortune 500 companies future-proof their businesses. To date, they’ve focused primarily on financial services, government, telecommunications & healthcare with early successful customer pilots.

Their recent Series A financing (US $5.5M) led by Quantonation, a Paris-based, quantum technology-focused VC fund, with support from Toronto’s The Group Ventures and Silicon Valley investors, means they’re well-positioned to scale faster and help more organizations future-proof their systems.

How Will I Make An Impact?


evolutionQ is looking for a VP of Sales. They’ve developed a brand new market, created a groundbreaking product, and now your role is critical in helping to commercialize it. 


As VP of Sales, you will be responsible for delivering revenue by creating the strategy and building out the team and processes to put in the right foundations for a repeatable sales engine. As a key member of the executive team, you will be hands-on initially and have the opportunity to develop your team globally to reach exponential sales. Leaders will look to you for customer insight and best practices to build a rapidly scaling sales organization.

We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can be both a player/coach as this small but mighty team grows. 


On the domain side, evolutionQ has the experts to teach you the industry, but we’ll be looking for curiosity and eagerness to learn this space.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Experience in a senior leadership role in a scale-up environment - ideally you’ve seen the $1-10M and beyond revenue stage

  • B2B Enterprise SaaS experience

  • You’re an inspiring leader and coach - you have recruited and mentored a high-performing team of AEs and BDRs

  • You’ve demonstrated success in building out a revenue engine from scratch; you can build processes while selling without them

  • You can guide a team on best practices with a consultative selling approach

  • You’re analytical and data-driven, constantly looking for ways to optimize the funnel and partner closely with Marketing, Product & Development 

  • You’re passionate about revolutionizing this industry

  • You identify as low ego but ambitious, collaborative, open and honest


Nice to haves: 

  • Some exposure to cybersecurity would be a bonus, or otherwise an interest in the space
