In 2016 Dematic was acquired by KION (the second largest global forklift producer) for 3.3 Billion. Dematic is a global organization, with development teams in Germany, US, and Canada. This role will be working in Dematic’s Waterloo office.

How Will I Make An Impact?

 

The Cloud & Analytics Organization within Dematic is responsible for delivering Dematic iQ InSights Software. Dematic iQ InSights is a leading Cloud Analytics and IoT platform that interfaces directly with an array of Dematic software and hardware solutions to fully or partially monitor clients’ distribution centers, allowing for full operational visibility and predictive foresight to streamline operations.

As a Sr PM you will report into the VP, Digital Solutions, join Dematic’s Global Software Solutions team and get to: 

• Have a “CEO of product” mindset & influence every aspect of making the product successful 

• Own the complete end-to-end product lifecycle (from discovery/ideation to go-to-market and launch)

• Take a “lean startup” approach to create a business model and MVP to confirm problem/solution and product/market fit

• Dive in and roll up your sleeves - there’s lots of building, innovating and creating to do!

• Work with customers - creating early adopter programs, technology partnerships, etc.

• Influence and work cross-functionally with sales, projects, services, marketing, business development and R&D to drive product outcomes

• Work with a global team and global clients

Do I Have What It Takes (Requirements)?

 

You have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or business

• 8+ years of software product management, software product development or similar experience (ideally in an Enterprise B2B SaaS organization)

• A track record of software product delivery using Agile methodologies

• Experience working directly with customers to capture business and technical requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including customer and executive presentations

• An entrepreneurial drive, perseverance and proactive approach

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

• An exceptional ability to work with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done

• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills to effectively balance important vs urgent needs

• The ability to travel (up to 20% at times) to Dematic and customer sites in the US and internationally

• A good sense of humour and an ability to have fun!
