Over 300M tonnes of plastic waste are produced each year. Less than 10% is actually recycled, and the rest ends up in landfills or the ocean. Here’s why: Fully recyclable + compostable packaging doesn’t preserve food well, so CPG companies opt to use partially recyclable packaging and avoid compostable packaging. Nfinite Nanotech has the solution: They’ve created a thin nanocoating layer that CPG companies can add to fully compostable + recyclable packaging that preserves food freshness. Bonus: It’s easily integrated into existing production lines at high speed and low cost.

How Will I Make An Impact?
As their Finance Leader, you will:

Manage their grant activity reporting
-
Update their FP&A model (it needs revamping!)

Lead their quarterly budgeting and present it to their lead investor alongside the CTO and CEO
-
Lead the relationship with their external bookkeeper and auditor
-
Build out their finance processes and procedures (budget approvals, expense processes, headcount allocation, etc)
-
Track and improve their business model

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

Passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact in the world

CPA or CMA designation in Canada, with a strong understanding of accounting principles

Experience working in or leading FP&A, and complex models

Experience building out financial processes and procedures

Experience contributing to or leading grant reporting

Experience in a startup environment: You’re a quick learner, can embrace undefined processes, navigate through complexities, and work hands-on to get things done

An intentional, thoughtful communicator: You’re an active listener and adjust your communication style to each client’s needs

Experience working in manufacturing or hardware environments

Bonus: You have experience working as a controller, accountant or bookkeeper
