How Will I Make An Impact?

As the leader of the Canadian office, you will be responsible for recruiting and hiring your own team and setting the culture at this Engineering hub. As the Head of Engineering for Canada, you will own burgeoning B2B initiatives- exploring new distribution models and partnership opportunities. With your strong technical background, you will help set up architecture and design while empowering the team you build underneath you, so that you can then focus on execution.

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

Technically very strong, you have built and led large teams. You know how to hire great people who have the same entrepreneurial spirit you do and can hit the ground running alongside you. 

 

You’re not afraid of code but it’s not where your time is best spent, while you won’t be participating in code reviews you will help with the initial system architecture and design while you build the team you need to carry that work on. 

 

You’re fundamentally curious and want to teach and learn- this is EdTech after all! Your background in consumer products, enterprise software, or video will help, but your ability to form alliances and work cross functionally will make you stand out.
