How Will I Make An Impact?

Altus is searching for a Chief Financial Officer to assist the Company in creating a world served by exceptional professionals by assessing and developing people skills in higher education applicants and learners. Altus’ CFO will help drive the Company’s success, by owning top line financial KPIs, and how finance can drive strategic growth of the company.  Altus’ CFO will be our CEO’s thought and execution partner, assisting with strategy development and refinement, measuring business performance relative to goals, acquiring companies and/or future capital raising.

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

  • You are excited to lead and grow a high-performing team that takes ownership of key finance functions: control, financial planning, accounts payable & receivable, treasury, tax, and risk & compliance. 

  • You have experience partnering and work best alongside the CEO and executive team to execute Altus’ fundraising strategy. 

  • You know how to optimize data and workflows that will drive operational efficiency. 

  • You truly believe in the work Altus is doing to create a world full of exceptional professionals

  • You are never “above the work” and are willing to treat Altus as your own.

  • You bring a point of view, but are an exceptional listener and willing to adjust your views to incorporate constructive inputs.

  • You are comfortable working in a scale-up company whose priority is growth.

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

  • You’ve been a startup CFO or VP of finance for 4 years minimum in ideally a software-based SaaS company.

  • You’ve led scale-up stage companies through rapid organic and inorganic growth and enabling through fundraising in growth capital, private equity, and/or public markets.

  • You have a breadth of experience in working with scale-ups and potentially larger companies as well. 

  • You have a deep understanding of SaaS company economics/metrics and their importance.

  • You are a strategic finance leader, looking to partner closely with the CEO, Board and Executive team to use finance as the strategic driver to unlock the potential of the business.

The Process:

​

As your Artemis Canada Recruitment Consultants, we’ll work closely with you through every step of the process.

Altus Assessments is hyper-focused on delivering a positive candidate experience. The general hiring process looks like the following:

​

  • You’ll have a video chat with Altus’ CEO, Rich, to discuss your experience in more depth.

  • Meet with a few members of the Board to understand the vision & growth path ahead 

  • 1:1 Meetings with other key peers & the Director of Finance 

  • Panel Interview: You'll meet with 4-6 members of Altus’ team (typically a 2-hour session). There may also be a short case exercise assigned that closely mirrors some aspects of the role. 

  • Reference Checks: Altus will ask for 2-3 professional references to chat about your time working together.

  • Offer: If you are Altus’ perfect match, and you’re theirs, an official offer will be made!
