We’re excited to be partnering with Sensibill - a profitable, series B funded Fintech startup that's delivering a much-needed solution into the growing population of freelancers and small business owners. We’re looking for an HR exec who can both roll up their sleeves, implementing processes, metrics, organizational alignment, and also advise the founding team and define high-level people strategy for a company that’s growing fast.
Who Is Sensibill & How Are They Changing The World?
Since 2013, Sensibill has been committed to building an AI-powered tool that makes capturing, organizing, and retrieving receipts effortless and effective. With the evolution of the gig economy and the need for financial institutions to add value to their SMB and professional consumer, the Sensibill solution is a game-changer. The consumer-facing and data-driven Sensibill AI tool is used by global Tier 1 banks like RBS, Scotiabank, NCR amongst others. Banking partners offer the receipt management and tracking solution through their mobile banking apps. Their customers then use the service to keep track of important receipts for returns, exchanges, expenses, accounting, and taxes.
Their mission? “We want to give time back to freelancers and small business owners so that they can focus on the things they love.” The company’s ultimate goal is to offer advice and improve the end-users’ financial health through machine learning.
Since its Series A, Sensibill employee headcount has more than doubled, they’ve opened an office in London, England, and have secured partnerships with more than 100 major banks in Canada, the US, and the UK. They recently raised a $41M Series B led by Radical Ventures that included some well known Canadian investors plus the National Bank of Canada.

How Will I Make An Impact?
The team is looking for an experienced HR leader who can -
Be a consultant to leaders & managers on people practices and programs to support long term strategy growth - through data-driven decision making, performance metrics, and business initiatives
Be a trusted strategic partner and advisor to the CEO/founding team
Champion and evolve the culture and tie it back to the company’s mission, value, and objectives.
Set up organizational alignment and communication strategies
Define a strong employer brand with a focus on the EVP, ensure that the employer brand is communicated effectively
Retention and purpose - enable top performers, tie back the “why” to the company’s mission and objectives”
Develop and deliver programs that drive: talent acquisition, diversity inclusion, and belonging, employee engagement, learning and development, employee relations
Develop and implement a cohesive rewards & recognition and upskilling strategy
Manage all HR budgets for recruiting, HR, culture & L&D initiatives
Manage, coach and scale a team of HR, Culture and Recruitment specialists
Build an employer brand and a compelling growth story for talent attraction and retention
Focus on building out a talent acquisition (sourcing, referral program) strategy setting in place forecasting and metrics
Drive performance management, introduce tools and process to scale sustainably and drive engagement
Run foundational programs such as compensation, benefits, and HRIS
