How Will I Make An Impact?

 

FlipGive is looking for a full-time Lead QA Engineer to join our product team. As a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst, you’ll be working with cross-functional teams to help develop software quality automation processes as well as analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to develop and execute test plans for new projects

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

 

In this role you will:

  • Become a FlipGive platform expert and understand the various apps and features to help identify and execute software process quality improvements

  • Become the owner of software quality for new product releases by working with PMs to sign off on requirements, writing test plan, doing manual tests and signing off on product quality for releases

  • Collaborate with the Product and Analytics Teams to make improvements or adjustments to our software engineering processes by introducing quality checks and automations at appropriate times

  • Setup automated regression testing processes

  • You will help hire, mentor, and develop the best and brightest talent while our organization continues to expand

Requirements for the Role:

 

  • 3+ years experience working in e-commerce, affiliate and/or fintech software companies

  • 5+ years of manual and automated testing experience with web applications

  • 2+ years of hands on testing experience on Android and iOS platform

  • Experience with black box and white box testing with understanding of with SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches

  • Knowledge of the quality assurance discipline, the defect lifecycle management processes, and the software commonly used for test planning and defect tracking (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)

  • Experience with different types of testing including Manual, Functional, Regression, Performance, Stress, Unit, API, Integration, and Security testing

  • Experience designing and executing test strategies, test plans and test cases

  • Familiarity with one or more scripting languages

  • Familiarity or experience using test tools that use machine learning or computer vision

  • Good sense of UI/UX design patterns and how it affects software quality

  • Experience working in iterative/agile/scrum/kanban project methodologies

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Strong internal motivation to get the job done and done well

  • Clear and concise communication skills with a can-do team attitude

  • Incredible attention to detail and is capable of multi-tasking and coordinating several tasks at once

  • Strong proven work ethic (you may be asked to provide support outside the 9-5)

  • Willingness to tackle things on your own and continually work to improve and optimize business processes

  • Strategic thinker who understands the value of rapid experimentation, automation where appropriate, and implementing processes to optimize productivity

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
