Who Is Voltera And How Are They Changing The World?
We’re excited to work with Voltera – one of Canada’s fastest growing startups – #23 to be exact! They’re TechCrunch Disrupt Champions, they ran one of the most innovative Kickstarter campaigns of all time, a James Dyson award winner, and voted one of most brilliant inventions by Popular Science.
Their products are found on the desks of the top electronics designers and engineers working in the world’s most innovative companies. It’s likely that the companies behind all of your favourite devices are Voltera users!
It started with a few University of Waterloo students building a product in the UW bathroom – solving a problem that was slowing down their own creativity and progress. When new circuit board design and prototyping required expensive and time-consuming outsourcing, the team knew that a better solution was possible – one that leveraged the advances in 3D printing, conductive inks and creative design. Voltera is now a 20 person team based in Downtown Kitchener – with hundreds of happy customers, global partners and big plans for growth.
With recent success, the Voltera sales team has been responding to inbound inquiries from potential customers from all around the world. The small marketing team has been running terrific campaigns, and now it’s time for more strategy and scale. They’re looking for someone to bring on a Marketing and Rev Ops leader to bring all of the sales and marketing pieces together and design an overall strategy for growth.

How Will I Make An Impact?
While they have strong members in both the Sales and Marketing team, they’re looking for a strategic leader who functions as the glue between the two teams, a leader who is able to provide high-level insight and prioritize incoming requests.
You’re a mix of big-picture thinking and willingness to get your hands dirty! The company is scaling fast and they need scrappy entrepreneurs with ideas, vision and the ability to get things done.
You’ll provide marketing direction and help the team build marketing assets – case studies, video content, social media – collecting and leveraging data and insight as new business continues to roll in.
You’ll get to streamline their sales process, set targets and guide the sales team!
You’ll get to build and lead a team of 4-7 marketing and salespeople. Being instrumental in hiring, training, coaching, and mentorship.
