How Will I Make An Impact? 

As Technical Director, you’ll be the operational right hand to the CTO, turning strategic vision into flawless execution. You’ll drive delivery, elevate technical excellence, and ensure that both the product and engineering organization scale effectively.

In this role, you will:

  • Translate strategy into execution: turning roadmap priorities into clear, actionable plans across engineering.

  • Lead a growing development team:  mentoring engineers, unblocking challenges, and setting a high bar for code quality and collaboration.

  • Oversee product delivery and client projects: managing technical onboarding, integrations, and custom development for enterprise customers.
  • Bring strong business acumen and project management skills: translating client requirements into clear Statements of Work, managing onboarding and delivery in partnership with the Customer Success Manager to ensure seamless client experiences.

  • Shape the technical foundation: guiding architecture, infrastructure, and DevOps practices across AWS, .NET, and modern web technologies.

  • Champion operational excellence: driving improvements in CI/CD, observability, secure deployments, and compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA, or equivalent).

  • Be the bridge between the business and technical worlds - ensuring customers, stakeholders, and engineers stay aligned on priorities and outcomes.

  • Empower the team and culture:  balancing process with autonomy, and creating an environment where people and products thrive together.

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like: 

  • 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 in technical leadership.

  • Proven success leading enterprise SaaS scale-up teams - ideally in fast-paced or transformation-stage companies.

  • Deep technical fluency in .NET (C#, VB.NET), JavaScript, and AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora/MySQL, Elastic Beanstalk, Redis/ValKey, OpenSearch).

  • Strength in DevOps/DevSecOps, including CI/CD, observability, automation, and secure deployments.

  • Demonstrated experience with client-facing technical work - integrations, onboarding, and solution delivery.

  • Ability to translate complex, ambiguous product requirements into structured plans and tickets.

  • Balanced leadership style - strategic yet hands-on, able to dive deep when needed but also think several steps ahead.

  • Known for clear communication, collaboration, and creating team clarity.

Bonus points if you bring:

  • Experience in InsurTech, FinTech, or other regulated B2B SaaS industries.

  • Familiarity with SAML/SCIM/MFA and enterprise identity frameworks.

  • Knowledge of LLM or AI applications in search, automation, or knowledge systems.

  • A track record of scaling systems and teams with efficiency and empathy.
