How Will I Make An Impact?

As Principal Software Engineer, Acquiring Partner Solutions, you will own the architectural evolution of systems that power merchant onboarding, partner integrations, payment workflows, and operational scalability.

You will:

  • Define technical strategy across a complex ecosystem of partner-facing platforms and services
  • Lead architecture for highly available, distributed payment and integration systems
  • Drive consistency across APIs, event-driven architectures, and service interactions
  • Improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer productivity
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to prioritize long-term investments
  • Establish standards for system design, observability, and operational excellence
  • Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders
  • Help shape the future of how Priority connects merchants, payment providers, and strategic partners

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:
  • 15+ years of software engineering experience
  • Proven success operating at Staff, Senior Staff, Principal, or Architect level
  • Deep expertise building and scaling distributed systems
  • Strong experience designing APIs and integration platforms
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and cloud-native environments
  • Demonstrated success influencing architecture across multiple teams
  • Strong understanding of observability, resiliency, and operational excellence
  • Experience within fintech, payments, merchant acquiring, lending, or regulated environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Technology Environment

The primary technology stack for the Partner Solutions  team includes:

  • Frontend:  React.js/Redux
  • Backend: Node.js, Kafka
  • Data Layer: MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Snowflake
  • Infrastructure: Cloud-native microservices, AWS, Kubernetes
  • CI/CD: Github/Teamcity/Octopus

Your Artemis Canada Partner, Natasha Makovora, will work closely with you throughout every step of the process.

Location: This role is onsite 4 days per week in Kitchener-Waterloo (Catalyst Commons)

Compensation: The compensation for this role is expected to exceed $200,000
