How Will I Make An Impact?
As a hands-on technical leader, you’ll define and drive the future of iOS development at Questrade, shaping how native and cross-platform technologies come together to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performing mobile experiences.
You will:
- Define and execute the long-term technical strategy for native iOS development, aligning with business goals and emerging trends.
- Architect, design, and deliver complex, high-performance iOS applications using frameworks like SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine.
- Mentor engineers across mobile teams, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
- Lead performance optimization and real-time data streaming initiatives to ensure responsive, reliable app experiences.
- Establish best practices for iOS engineering, including testing, CI/CD, and memory management.
- Research and prototype new Apple technologies and AI tools to drive innovation and developer productivity.
- Partner closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to influence roadmap priorities and ensure seamless integration across platforms.

You’re a seasoned mobile engineer who thrives at the intersection of architecture, innovation, and mentorship. You love building elegant, performant solutions and helping teams raise the bar for mobile development.
You might be a fit if you:
- Have extensive software engineering experience with a deep focus on native iOS development and large-scale app delivery.
- Are an expert in Swift and Objective-C, with strong knowledge of UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, and Core Data.
- Bring hands-on experience with React Native, bridging native and cross-platform capabilities to create cohesive mobile experiences.
- Have experience designing and scaling complex mobile architectures that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Excel at optimizing for speed, memory, and real-time data streaming in demanding environments.
- Have guided technical direction before, helping peers navigate architectural decisions with clarity and empathy.
- Stay curious and up to date on Apple’s latest technologies and mobile trends, always looking for new ways to innovate.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Android (Kotlin/Java) development for cross-platform collaboration.
- Fintech, investing, or trading knowledge or experience
