Pharma & CRO Channel Manager - High Q Technologies

Who Is High Q & How Are They Changing the World

High Q Technologies is redefining how researchers understand proteins - the molecular machines that drive nearly every biological process and serve as the foundation for modern drug discovery.

Based in Waterloo, backed by Quantum Valley Investments, High Q has developed FATHOM®, the world's first quantum-enabled EPR (Electron Paramagnetic Resonance) spectrometer. By combining patented quantum sensing technology with a radically simplified user experience, High Q is helping structural biologists, CROs (Contract Research Organizations), and pharmaceutical researchers study protein dynamics faster, more easily, and with greater sensitivity than traditional approaches.

As drug discovery increasingly shifts toward understanding flexible, dynamic, and previously difficult-to-study proteins, researchers need tools that go beyond static snapshots. FATHOM® provides critical insights into how proteins move, interact, and change over time - information that complements technologies like Cryo-EM, NMR, AlphaFold, and other structural biology tools.

High Q's mission is ambitious: to redefine protein structure determination, accelerate the future of drug discovery, and enable the development of novel therapeutics that improve human health. Their technology is already being adopted by leading researchers and is helping unlock new understanding of some of biology's most complex and medically important systems.

How Will I Make An Impact?
  • Help establish High Q's presence within the global structural biology and drug discovery ecosystem during a pivotal stage of commercialization.
  • Own outbound business development efforts across High Q's Pharma/CRO channel
  • Build relationships with Pharmaceutical Companies and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and drive new business opportunities
  • Book and lead discovery conversations
  • Advance qualified opportunities through negotiation and signed channel agreements
  • Re-engage dormant accounts and maintain momentum across active opportunities
  • Serve as the day-to-day commercial contact for assigned partners
  • Collaborate with internal scientific and leadership stakeholders as technical questions arise
  • Consistently achieve and exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets
How Do I Know If This Is For Me?
  • You enjoy building relationships with scientists, researchers, and commercial leaders and are energized by opening doors where others see obstacles.
  • You are energized by a high-activity, quota-carrying environment
  • You can build credibility with scientists by understanding their challenges and speaking their language without getting lost in technical complexity.
  • You are organized and disciplined in CRM management (HubSpot)
  • You thrive in environments where execution and results matter
Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:
  • You've built a strong network within Pharma, CROs, pharmaceutical research, biotechnology, structural biology, or life sciences organizations and know how to leverage existing relationships to create commercial opportunities.
  • You're equally comfortable opening warm doors through your network and creating entirely new opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and relationship-building.
  • You have a proven track record carrying a quota and closing complex partnership, services, instrumentation, or scientific technology deals.
  • You have experience working within structural biology, protein characterization, biochemistry, drug discovery, or related life sciences environments and understand how researchers evaluate new technologies and workflows.
  • You know how to engage scientific, technical, and commercial stakeholders and can translate complex technologies into clear business value.
  • You bring a hunter mentality, persistence, and a bias toward action.
  • You're highly organized, disciplined in CRM management, and relentless about follow-through.
  • You thrive in environments where activity, pipeline generation, and results are highly visible.
  • You're excited by the opportunity to help introduce a category-defining technology to the organizations driving the future of drug discovery.
  • Bonus points if you have an academic or professional background in biochemistry, structural biology, protein characterization, molecular biology, medicinal chemistry, or drug discovery research.
