Who Is Flexiti & How Are They Changing the World
Flexiti sits at the intersection of fintech, retail, and consumer lending — a $1.6B+ platform serving hundreds of thousands of Canadian consumers through major merchant partnerships. Acquired by Questrade in 2023, they’ve spent the last year investing in the foundations: Braze for lifecycle orchestration, Databricks for analytics and segmentation, and a consumer mobile app that’s about to go live. Now they’re accelerating — expanding into new verticals, scaling high-velocity partnerships, and building the team and operating model to match their ambitions.
How Will I Make An Impact?
Reporting to the President of Flexiti, this is the senior-most marketing role at Flexiti and the architect of the company's growth marketing engine. You'll lead a cross-functional team spanning lifecycle marketing, acquisition, analytics, and creative — moving at the speed of retail, embedding AI into core workflows, and owning the end-to-end customer journey from first touch to long-term loyalty. You will turn infrastructure into growth, data into journeys, and a B2B2C platform into a brand consumers actively seek out.
You know how to distill complex financial products into clear, compelling messaging and rally cross-functional teams around a shared growth narrative. You're data-driven, adaptable across stakeholders, and you build teams where people do the best work of their careers.
How Do I Know If This Is For Me?
You’re excited and motivated to own the following:
Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute Flexiti’s marketing strategy across lifecycle, acquisition, brand, and product marketing, aligned to company revenue targets and growth objectives.
- Own the marketing roadmap and P&L; translate executive priorities into actionable quarterly plans with clear KPIs and accountability.
- Build a modern, AI-first operating model where AI agents and automation are embedded in creative workflows, campaign builds, segmentation, reporting, and testing.
- Set the vision to elevate the brand from a behind-the-scenes financing product to a consumer-facing fintech brand people recognize and trust.
Lifecycle & Journey Orchestration
- Own the Braze implementation end-to-end: design, build, and optimize multi-channel journeys (email, push notification, in-app messaging, SMS) that drive activation, engagement, and retention.
- Architect detailed customer journeys that respond to real-time behavioral signals for our merchant partners
- Obsess over the customer journey, map every touchpoint, identify friction, and relentlessly optimize for conversion and lifetime value.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate lifecycle messaging seamlessly into the consumer mobile app (in-line promotions, push notifications, merchant offer hub).
Acquisition & Channel Expansion
- Develop B2B2C marketing programs for merchant partners with co-branded campaigns, lead generation tools, and performance dashboards.
- Build and scale digital acquisition channels (paid search, paid social, content, SEO, partnerships) with rigorous attribution and measurement.
- Launch and optimize the mobile app as a growth channel, driving downloads, first-session activation, and ongoing engagement through the merchant offer hub.
Analytics & Performance
- Establish a marketing analytics framework built on Databricks, unified dashboards, attribution models, cohort analyses, and predictive segmentation.
- Define and ruthlessly track the KPIs that matter: CAC, LTV, journey conversion rates, email engagement, push opt-in rates, app DAU/MAU, ROAS, and incremental revenue per campaign.
- Build a test-and-learn culture: run structured A/B and multivariate tests across channels, creative, offers, and journeys document and share learnings organization-wide.
- Report to internal and partner executive teams with clear, data-backed narratives on marketing’s contribution to growth.
AI & Martech Innovation
- Champion the adoption of AI agents across the marketing function, from creative and copy, to automated journey optimization, to intelligent segmentation.
- Evaluate, implement, and integrate new martech tools that increase speed, reduce cost, and improve personalization at scale.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI, martech, and fintech marketing, bring a point of view on what’s next and pilot emerging capabilities.
- Build internal AI literacy across the team; train, coach, and upskill marketers to work with AI as a daily collaborator.
Team & Culture
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing marketing team who are curious, data-driven, and energized by the pace of retail and Fin-Tech
- Foster a culture of ownership, speed, experimentation, and creative ambition, where the team ships fast and iterates faster.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships, holding partners to the same standards of performance and innovation as the internal team.
