Executive Recruitment Associate - Artemis Canada

Artemis Canada is a Canadian executive search firm, helping incredible technology companies find and hire the best leaders and senior professionals. Since our start in 2013, the market response has been amazing and we’ve continued to grow alongside the tech communities that we serve.   With a hands-on, research‑driven approach and deep industry connections, we craft thoughtful partnerships. Our clients trust us to build exceptional leadership teams and candidates trust us to share their career stories and aspirations.

We are looking for a creative and resourceful Executive Recruitment Associate to join our team. You’ll support the senior recruitment team, work closely with clients and be a critical member of our consulting team, while growing into a Recruitment Consultant role.

How Will I Make An Impact?

We’re a small and tight team, with strong values and each individual is critical to our success and that of our client partners. The bar is high and the standards for integrity, performance and service delivery are uncompromising.

In this role you will:

  • Learn the art of targeted talent scouting, identifying top candidates in Canada and globally who meet each client’s needs
  • Participate in client meetings and candidate evaluations, learning directly from the team
  • Contribute to our data repository of target companies and talent communities
  • Identify market trends, track companies shaping Canadian tech, and map scarce, high-value talent
  • Represent Artemis and our clients at events, on social media, and within the community

What Does Growth Look Like?

Joining as an Executive Recruitment Associate puts you on a path to an Executive Recruitment Consultant role, as you learn and take on more ownership and autonomy.

As you develop expertise, you'll lead candidate recruitment and assessment, support client relationships, and build the confidence to advise on hiring decisions. With experience and team collaboration, you’ll grow to run full searches end-to-end.

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

  • You are ready to learn
  • You're curious about our work, our clients’ businesses, and the tech communities we are a part of
  • You are eager to understand how tech companies are built and how each role fits together
  • You are a natural rapport builder, passionate about connecting with people
  • You are tenacious and resilient, with the drive to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You are genuinely interested in the business of technology and the dynamics of the Canadian tech sector

Perks

  • You’ll work with and learn from an all-star team of recruiters and Canada’s most innovative tech companies and leaders
  • You’ll be part of a variable compensation plan that includes base salary plus uncapped, results-based commission - offering meaningful upside for high performers
  • You’ll enjoy flexible hours and the freedom to work from where you’re most productive
  • You’ll fast-track your learning and take on greater responsibility and scope within 6–12 months
  • You’ll connect with the team through weekly lunches and quarterly socials
  • You’ll have access to a comprehensive benefits package and RRSP matching
  • You’ll recharge with a generous vacation package
  • You’ll be treated to an annual spa retreat with the team
  • You’ll have a professional development budget to support your growth

The Ideal Candidate

  • You are creative and resourceful, with the ability to quickly grasp trends, new ideas, and tools
  • You are a confident and authentic communicator, with experience in a customer-facing role
  • You are a self-starter who can drive projects with little supervision
  • You are well organized and detail-oriented
  • You have several years of experience in a client-facing role within a tech company or in the tech ecosystem
  • You are relentlessly curious about people, ideas, and finding the best solution to a problem
  • You are compassionate, able to connect deeply, and build trust with the people you work with
