Director, Information Technology & Security - MindBridge

Who Is MindBridge & How Are They Changing the World

MindBridge is an Ottawa-headquartered AI company helping finance, accounting and audit teams identify financial risk, unusual activity and control gaps across large volumes of transaction data. Its cloud-based platform combines statistical methods, machine learning and AI to make complex financial analysis easier to use and act on. With employees and customers across multiple countries, MindBridge is continuing to scale both its enterprise footprint and the internal technology foundation that supports its people and products.

How Will I Make An Impact?
  • Lead MindBridge’s enterprise IT and security program, creating the structure, accountability and visibility the broader organization needs.
  • Support and mentor a multidisciplinary team, building a collaborative and service-oriented culture.
  • Strengthen internal IT operations, service delivery and administrative processes to provide reliable support across the organization.
  • Bring strong enterprise IT experience and enough practical credibility to guide the team, assess operational needs and support effective decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve the governance structure, objectives, measures and reporting that support MindBridge’s enterprise IT and security program.
  • Keep policies current and practical, identify gaps or duplication, and support ongoing audit and compliance work, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls.
  • Partner across departments and with senior leaders to design workable controls, balance competing priorities and support the company’s operational needs.
  • Help MindBridge navigate privacy and data-protection responsibilities across jurisdictions, including PIPEDA and GDPR.
  • Work with the CISO on resource planning, capability development and the longer-term roadmap for the function.
  • Help shape the secure adoption of emerging technologies across the organization.
How Do I Know If This Is For Me?
  • You built your foundation in enterprise IT operations and bring the practical judgment to guide a broad internal technology function.
  • You enjoy the operational side of leadership: creating clear processes, strengthening policies, following through on priorities and ensuring the details get done.
  • You have led or meaningfully mentored technical professionals and know how to help people solve problems rather than solving every problem for them.
  • You can move between operational realities and strategic thinking, including assessing capabilities, identifying gaps and planning what the function needs next.
  • You communicate well with technical and non-technical stakeholders and are comfortable partnering with leaders across an entire company.
  • You understand security and governance fundamentals and are willing to keep learning as risks, standards and tools evolve.
  • You are collaborative, low ego and willing to help where needed.
  • You are able to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance.
  • You are able to work from MindBridge’s Ottawa office.
Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:
  • Approximately 5–10 years of relevant commercial IT experience, including senior-level ownership or leadership responsibility.
  • Strong enterprise IT operations experience, with a practical understanding of reliable and secure internal technology services.
  • Demonstrated people leadership or mentorship, with examples of developing others and building a supportive team environment.
  • Experience improving IT operating processes, service delivery, policies, controls and departmental discipline.
  • Working knowledge of security, privacy and IT governance; direct SOC 2, ISO 27001, PIPEDA or GDPR experience is valuable but not required across every area.
  • Confidence communicating with and reporting to VP or C-suite leaders.
  • Organized, adaptable and execution-oriented, with the ability to balance competing priorities and limited resources.
  • CISSP, CISM or a similar credential is a nice-to-have—not a substitute for demonstrated practical experience.
