AI Product Manager - Occupier

Who Is Occupier & How Are They Changing the World

Occupier is a modern lease management and accounting platform built specifically for tenants. It gives real estate and finance teams one place to centralize lease data, automate compliance, manage critical dates, and work from the same source of truth.

Today, more than 400 customers manage over 100,000 leases in Occupier. They’re now pushing the category forward again by embedding AI directly into lease workflows - not as a side experiment, but as a dependable part of how customers find information and get work done.

How Will I Make An Impact?

  • Own a greenfield, horizontal AI product surface spanning Occupier’s lease administration and accounting data.
  • Lead the near-term build-out of the conversational and MCP layer that connects Occupier to the broader AI ecosystem.
  • Partner closely with engineering to identify high-leverage use cases, define what to build, and ship production-grade experiences.
  • Set practical standards for AI quality, including reliability, accuracy thresholds, evaluation frameworks, fallback behaviour, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Talk with customers and turn workflow pain into AI use cases that are specific, testable, and measurable.
  • Bring structure to ambiguity, communicate trade-offs clearly, and help raise the broader product team’s AI capability.
  • Evolve the roadmap from question answering and retrieval toward AI-enabled actions and workflow changes over time.

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

  • You have shipped AI or ML features into production that real users depend on (not only prototypes, proofs of concept, or internal demos).
  • You can explain how you evaluated probabilistic outputs, set success criteria, found failure modes, and improved quality after launch.
  • You are comfortable working through unclear problem spaces without waiting for a complete playbook.
  • You think like a product manager first: you start with user needs and business value, then use AI where it creates real leverage.
  • You can work as a peer with engineers, understand technical trade-offs, and translate detailed AI quality work for non-specialists.
  • You enjoy small, hands-on teams and are comfortable with meaningful ownership and limited management overhead.

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

  • 5+ years of product management experience with more recent experience owning an AI or ML product in production.
  • A demonstrated record of shipping production-grade AI features in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Working knowledge of LLMs, agents, MCP, tool use, embeddings, and evaluation approaches - and sound judgment about when each is useful.
  • Experience defining evaluation frameworks and success criteria where outputs are probabilistic.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with clear specs and evidence-based product decisions.
  • Experience with workflow-heavy, data-intensive software. Lease management, ERP, legal tech, accounting, or similar exposure is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • MCP experience is a strong bonus, but is not required if you have built comparable conversational or AI workflow products.
