In January 2020, successful entrepreneurs Joseph Fung, Donna Litt, and Derek Hall were all working at Kiite, selling tech software and taking names… until they noticed something peculiar. It was clear that the traditional approach of hiring, training, and promoting tech sales reps was very very broken. Stories of career stagnation, dissatisfaction, and hamster-wheel jobs were everywhere. Too many sales companies were underinvesting in ongoing skills development, while at the same time, these well-paying jobs in tech were often seen as inaccessible to those outside the industry. The process needed an overhaul. Uvaro was born. 

Uvaro is straddling the line between education, skill-building, and career support, they've built something different to envision a new future for tech sales training. How Will I Make An Impact?

The VP Sales is responsible for writing the playbook for Uvaro’s sales strategy, leading and enabling teams of sales professionals to successfully achieve revenue targets, and driving the full breadth of planning and reporting activities.

 

The VP Sales will help drive significant revenue growth by also collaborating with Product to identify and test new go-to-market opportunities. This is a key leadership role in the organization, reporting directly to revenue leadership, currently the CEO.

  • You’re excited to develop action and resource plans to meet and exceed revenue goals and other KPI targets across all lines of business

  • You love growing, coaching, and leading diverse sales teams 

  • Creating an inclusive environment is integral to you - you build trust and have strong core values that are aligned with the business values

  • You’re comfortable giving challenging feedback in a productive and positive manner and developing managers who will do the same - empathy is key

  • You establish a learning culture with sales enablement priorities that drive high-performance teams 

  • Data is baked into everything that you do - you collaborate with Finance to establish and manage targets, forecasts, compensation plans, and reporting

  • You want to build a company that makes the world a better place

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

  • You’re passionate about the art of selling and have a deep appreciation for enabling a high-performing sales organization

  • You have excellent data fluency

  • You’ve built and grown sales teams selling high-value products and services to a consumer market

  • You’re exceptional at context-switching; you can “zoom in” to deal-level details and “zoom out” to strategies that span a year and beyond

  • You have competent analytical and data skills (including CRM, Spreadsheets, and BI Tools) to support forecasting and modelling activities

  • You have genuine care and interest in customers, team members, and their goals 

  • You’re not afraid to ask new or tough questions and challenge the status quo in the best interests of the business

  • You’re available to work standard business hours within one or more of Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern or Atlantic time zones (UTC-4:00 to UTC-8:00)
