This company offers a game-changing inventory optimization platform that transforms supply chain management. They harness the power of advanced data analytics and machine learning algorithms to streamline inventory processes, minimize costs, and maximize profitability.

It's American-based company looking for a confidential SVP of Engineering. They’re PE-backed, growing incredibly quickly, and work with large name-brand customers that you’d recognize. 

How Will I Make An Impact?

As the SVP Engineering, you will: 

  • Scale and lead the Engineering, DevOps, and Application Engineering teams. Build a world-class engineering organization that engineers relish being a part of. 

  • Grow engineering teams by coaching and mentoring the current leaders - inspire them with a compelling vision & strategy and recruit additional top talent. 

  • From a technology perspective, play a central role, working closely with the CEO, in driving overall technical vision and direction regarding tech stack and platform architecture/evolution. 

    • Leading their cloud migration will be a major focus for this leader for the first 12-18 months.

  • Lead the company’s technology roadmap and ensure that the platform is scalable, reliable, and secure. 

  • Flawless execution; streamline and drive transparency, efficiency, and cohesion in the engineering organization. Ensure visibility and predictability around engineering processes, systems, etc. 

  • Execution on defined roadmap. 

  • Empower members of the team; Lead, mentor, and elevate the skills and capabilities of the team, and ensure retention of talent.

  • Recruit and develop top talent within the US and internationally. 

  • Maintain and optimize budgets to meet goals. 

  • Administer, monitor, and deploy large scale systems and service solutions on Azure.

  • Build a comprehensive infrastructure strategy and roadmap to standardize and upgrade the company’s global infrastructure and operational services in alignment with business objectives and strategy.

  • Establish scalable infrastructure platforms, robust asset management processes, and customer delighting service delivery programs. Drive business value creation through technology, process, and service management. Increase user productivity and collaboration.

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

You’re a very experienced senior engineering leader who’s led cloud large-scale, client-impacting migrations before. Before you moved into leadership, you had strong technical chops as an architect or principal engineer. Since then, you’ve led large and growing engineering organizations, and have experience building and retaining teams. You have experience being a “leader of leaders”. You’ve worked in product-led organizations and can effectively create and meet engineering roadmap deadlines. You inspire your team and colleagues to strive for their best, and have superb communication skills.

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

  • Strong experience managing high performance engineering teams of more than 20 engineers, including managers 

  • Experience defining, developing, and delivering scalable, end-to-end cloud-based B2B or B2B2C SaaS, PaaS and/or Marketplace products. 

  • Player/coach mentality with the ability to roll up their sleeves. 

  • Experience leading a product migration.

  • Proven track record of building/scaling strong engineering teams with a culture of high productivity, excellent morale, and low turnover in complex and evolving environments. 

  • Expert knowledge of modern engineering concepts and techniques, including agile development methodologies such as Scrum. 

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of cloud architecture, prior experience with cloud migrations.

  • Direct experience building, leading, and driving results with offshore development teams.

  • Experience delivering successful software projects on time and on budget.

  • Superb communication skills - You should be able to cultivate strong working relationships, communicate effectively, write meticulously, and give outstanding presentations.

  • Able to think strategically and see the big picture.

  • Experience structuring teams to align with company objectives, and measuring their performance.

The Process:

After an initial phone call with either Steph or Negin, the interview process is:

  1. First interview with the Hiring Manager

  2. Interview with key leader from the private equity firm

  3. Interview with Vice President, RevOps + a key member on the engineering team

  4. Interview with the President
