How Will I Make An Impact?

​

• You will design, develop and maintain relational databases to integrate data from the most appropriate data sources to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

• You will proactively seek to understand end-user requirements in order to implement effective data visualizations in dashboards/reports.

• You will identify opportunities to automate the most time and resource-intensive processes related to data collection, validation, transformation, etc. to optimize the production and delivery of dashboards/reports 

• You will contribute to the design and implementation of branding (i.e. standardized “look and feel”) for all dashboards/reports.

• You will assist in the development of a future state BI architecture and roadmap.

• You will help investigate and diagnose issues and ensure problems and defects are resolved in a timely manner.

• You will analyze data for trends and build analytical models to determine revenue opportunities, cost-saving opportunities, process efficiency opportunities, minimize risk, and assist the business in financial modelling for various business cases as needed.

• You will play a lead role in the analytics requirements of the business.

• It’s a flat organization and you’ll work closely across all teams including senior management, corporate finance, business development, underwriting and funding, and the product and innovation teams.

Does This Sound Like You? (Requirements)

​

• 5+ years of hands-on technical Business Intelligence experience with advanced knowledge in Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, Power BI, Power Pivot, Excel, Visual Basic).

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and reporting tools, VB, and relational database tools.

• Experience developing financial models and analyses relating to planning and forecasting, unique business cases as needed, etc. 

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a self-directed manner and also as part of a project team.

• Ability to effectively handle ambiguous, ad hoc tasks and changes in direction and priorities in response to unexpected events and circumstances.

• A recognized undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business, or Finance.

Nice to Have: ​

• Professional designation in Finance and/or Accounting (ie. CPA, CFA, MBA or equivalent). 

• Intermediate to advanced experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc. is an asset 

• Experience with Cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure) is an asset
