Artemis Canada has partnered with Core Avionics & Industrial Inc. ("CoreAVI"​) - a global leader in the delivery of safety-critical graphics and video drivers to the aviation industry to add a talented Senior Project Manager to their roster.
CoreAVI products include real-time OpenGL and Vulkan-based products that enable commercial hardware designs to meet strict requirements of long-term, highly-reliable, and safety-critical embedded systems. If you’ve flown on a commercial airplane, your safety was likely being monitored in-part using the CoreAVI tech.
The R&D work is technically challenging and rewarding, as they are on the leading edge of new CPU and GPU technology, with an incredibly talented team that is always doing something new and innovative.
How Will I Make An Impact?
As a CoreAVI Senior Project Manager, you’ll get to be both a people manager and a project lead, driving software development, certification and customer-facing projects, capturing project objectives for each client and ensuring on-time completion.
You’ll communicate with key internal and external project stakeholders as well as proactively identify and address project risks and issues.
You’ll use your people leadership skills to help your team grow and achieve their goals, and remove any impediments, and help them work together to produce reliable, high quality, safety critical solutions.

You’ll report into the VP of Engineering and managing a team of developers on a rotating project-based basis

Do I Have What It Takes?

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field

You have experience with embedded software/hardware development and/or leading development teams

You have several years of experience in software development project management

Your verbal and written communication is excellent and you understand the importance of effective communication

You are experienced at managing the many moving parts of a complex project including sub-contractors
-
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ingrained sense of accountability and ownership

You have a love of pushing limits and a continuous drive for learning and finding new solutions
-
It would be an asset if you had a Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or ScrumMaster Certification an asset
