Who is RouteThis & How Are They Changing

The World?


In 2012, RouteThis founders, Jason Matt and Graham solved a critical

problem while bringing a product to market for its original start-up. Out of

necessity and love for a challenge, the team created a platform that

would give unparalleled insight into home networks – so that they

could support their video streaming solution with none of the cost and

the time that accompanied custom hardware deployments or firmware




Jason and Matt realized that they weren’t the only ones with this challenge. Their solution addressed an issue many businesses face as they look to support products that are running on home networks. Their key markets are ISPs and Smart home products. With their deep understanding of the needs and the pain points modern businesses were experiencing, they commercialized their solution.


They’ve grown by over 200% in the last 12 months and they expect that this aggressive growth trajectory will continue. They’re privately held and venture-backed (they completed their last round in the middle of 2018).  In order to harness this growth, they need a seasoned marketing leader who is ready to join the leadership team as a strategic business partner. They need someone to help build and scale their marketing strategy. 

The Product:


The platform provides a tremendously detailed picture of a customer’s​ home network. This allows support agents to quickly and easily resolve connectivity issues, without asking customers detailed technical information, deploying specific hardware, pushing firmware updates, or doing remote desktop sessions. 


Their long term vision? To automate the world’s tech support. The next time you need tech support, you won’t need to call - as your issue will be resolved remotely and automatically.

How Will I Make An Impact?​

As the Head of Marketing you will report into Jason (CEO) and will:

  • Develop strategy - Work with the CEO/leadership team to develop amazing campaigns, concepts, and strategies that will drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition

  • Lead & inspire - You will need to start at the grassroots with an opportunity to build a team and take the department to the next level

  • Report and manage - KPIs from the top of the funnel through to closed/won, creating quantifiable growth in key target areas.

  • Measure campaign success with key KPIs that quickly identify effectiveness and enable the ability to quickly pivot as required

  • Explore new marketing channels - Most leads are currently from email marketing and you will optimize email while also growing and diversifying into other channels.

  • Dive deeply (and quickly) into understanding our customers, creating marketing materials and impactful education and awareness-building content

  • Apply the first principles of marketing to understand our customers and build marketing and research collateral to support the value proposition

  • Work in partnership with sales and product teams to develop targeted sales collateral,

  • fine-tune or upgrade the sales process and continuously improve the buyer’s journey

  • Lead the creation of digital content that will fuel our content marketing and lead

  • generation plans

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize the corporate website

How Do I Know if This Is For  Me?


The ideal candidate is a SaaS experienced someone who has “been there, done that” when it comes to marketing in the tech start-up space and wants to go there again. This person is a successful, versatile marketer able to take raw vision and build creative, impactful marketing campaigns that will play a pivotal role in nurturing our company’s growth and impact on the $15 billion customer tech support industry.

Do I Have What It Takes (Requirements)?


You have:

  • Senior-level marketing experience through the start-up/scale-up phase of a B2B SaaS

  • Organization

  • Built, supported and scaled amazing marketing teams

  • A track record of successfully creating quantifiable growth through different channels

  • including email marketing, landing pages, SEO, partnership webinars, PPC and content

  • A desire to lead by example and a willingness to get into the trenches with the front line

  • The ability to deliver creative and innovative campaigns that deliver results within budget

  • An urgent drive to never accept the status-quo, constantly working to improve lead

  • quality and volume

  • A passion for building start-up brands from scratch including an understanding of the

  • entire buyer journey and how marketing generates more qualified leads

  • Passion for the customer experience

  • Proficiency with HubSpot and/or other marketing automation or CRM systems

  • Solid project management and organizational skills


Bonus points for:

  • Knowledge of the B2B purchase process, or technology sales cycle
