Recruitment and Research Consultant-Artemis Canada

 

We are looking for a creative and resourceful researcher and future recruitment consultant to join our team. You’ll support the senior recruitment team, work closely with clients and be a critical member of our consulting team.

Artemis Canada is a boutique recruiting firm, serving the tech sector – but we’re also a start-up. Since our beginnings in 2013, the market response has been amazing and our Technology and Innovation practice is booming.

We now work with some of Canada’s top start-up and growth-stage tech companies, introducing them to leaders and senior professionals who are making a significant impact in their businesses.

How Will I Make An Impact?

 

  • Master the art of talent sourcing -  learn how to identify candidates to support our search for the best talent in Canada and globally. 

  • You’ll identify potential candidates, and build a rich data repository of companies and communities of talent.

  • You’ll identify market trends and help us map out the most valuable and scarce talent in tech.

  • You’ll assist as we market both Artemis and our clients, using social media and various avenues.

  • You’ll participate in client meetings and candidate evaluations, working closely with the team, and learning at every opportunity.

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

 

  • You are ready to learn - a lot. You’ll need to understand our business, and the business of our clients, and the challenges and opportunities that have brought them to us. You will learn about the business of running a tech company, by learning how each role fits together. Bring lots of curiosity and it will be rewarded!​

  • You are naturally inquisitive and love the idea of playing detective, identifying creative ways to find information and pulling lots of bits of information together to find solutions. This isn't academic-type research, but more like solving interesting puzzles. ​

  • You are passionate about connecting with people and are a natural rapport builder.

  • You understand the tenacity and resilience needed to succeed in a fast-paced business and are excited to unleash your potential.

  • You have a proven interest in the business of technology and you know a little about the dynamics of the tech sector.

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

 

  • You are not in a recruiting role right now. We know, sounds weird ... but we also know that there are great people out there with the incredible blend of business savvy and people skills to thrive as recruitment consultants. We know that investing in great humans will help us build the best team.

  • Your education is ideally in business, tech, or a related discipline.

  • You are well organized, creative and resourceful and can quickly grasp trends, and new ideas.

  • You are a confident communicator - with experience in a customer-facing role. 

  • You are a self-starter and resourceful - you can drive projects with little to no supervision.

Nice to Haves:

  • An entrepreneur or entrepreneurial spirit 

  • Experience as a BDR, Customer Success Manager or Account/Project Manager is an asset - this role will be a great fit if you're looking for growth!

  • You are immersed in the tech ecosystem or otherwise passionate about diving into this world!

Our Process

1. Initial Video Calls with our Operations Manager and/or Practice Lead/Partner - We want to get to know you and answer any question you have

2. Second Video Call with CEO & Founder of Artemis Canada- We want you to drive this conversation so come prepared with questions

3. Final Video Call with a Team Member you’d be collaborating closely with - We're almost there! We want you to reflect on what excited you and what you think your biggest learning gaps are & learn more about a day in the life

4. Short Assignment- We want to give you a glimpse into what your day to day would look like

5. Talk through an offer and the logistics of getting you started on the team!
