How Will I Make An Impact?

 

You'll report to and act as a strategic business partner to the CEO, who will work closely with you to help build the future vision for ThinkLP, instituting values, processes, and a culture that will make ThinkLP not only a great place to work, but a place that empowers and builds talent. You will help build a ‘People First’ culture that enables the team to reach their growth goals while making ThinkLP a first-class employer. 

 

In this high-impact role that will define and shape their next phase of growth, you’ll build the People function from the ground up. You'll create the strategy and execute on it.

As the People & Culture Leader, you will:

 

  • Manage and drive processes across the entire employee lifecycle

  • Implement a structured interview process for ThinkLP based on Alpine Investor’s hiring model targeting “A” talent.

  • Develop a program and process for new hires to onboard and quickly ramp up the institutional knowledge of the business, including introductions to key stakeholders based on the role.

  • Maintain up-to-date and compliant handbooks for both Canada and the US and ensure employees are educated on all policies.

  • Own and organize all employee contracts and personnel files in accordance with local record-keeping requirements and ensure all internal systems are kept up to date with employee information.

  • Support the CEO in workforce planning that will position the company for growth and provide employees with structured career paths.

  • Implement and oversee employee benefit programs

  • Serve as employee relations subject matter expert and facilitate employee conflict and progressive disciplinary actions, including termination. 

  • Develop a performance management process 

  • Administer quarterly engagement surveys in partnership with ASG and generate actionable initiatives that uphold and advance ThinkLP’s culture.

  • Identify staff and manager learning and development needs and ensure that an effective process for continuous L&D is in place.

  • Develop a comprehensive offboarding process for voluntary and involuntary leavers.

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

 

You have:

  • People operations experience in a fast-growing tech company. 

  • Bachelor’s degree & certified HR designation (SHRM, global HCRI certification, CHRL)

  • Expertise in compliance and/or knowledge of federal and state regulations concerning employment and reporting compliance in Canada and the United States. 

  • Experience handling confidential information pertaining to strategy and employees. 

  • Excellent verbal skills, both written and oral.

  • Demonstrated experience creating environments that foster psychological safety.

  • Analytical skills – you find meaning and action in numbers and are a data-driven decision-maker.

  • Excellent leadership skills – a proven ability to train, motivate and lead through transitions.

  • Stellar time management and organizational skills.

  • A resourceful approach to problem-solving

  • Experience in or a desire to work in a nimble, lean, unstructured, fast-paced startup.

  • Collaborative and energetic disposition

  • Impeccable integrity and ethical standards. You are self-aware, accepting, honest, open, and respectful of others.

The Process:

 

As your Artemis Canada Recruitment Consultant, I’ll work closely with you through every step of the process. After an initial screening call with me (Tara), the interview process is:

  1. Screening Interview with CEO

  2. ThinkLP Super Day in office or virtual (meeting with 2-3 ThinkLP leaders) 

  3. 30/60/90 Day presentation to CEO + a few TLP leaders

  4. Meeting with VP of HR @ Alpine Software Group
