As the Funding Product Manager, you’ll own one of the most critical moments in the customer journey: the instant between someone deciding to invest… and actually being able to act.

Your mandate is bold and simple: remove the distance between intention and action. You will transform a traditionally slow, multi-day process into a near-instant, secure, seamless experience that accelerates a customer’s ability to trade, grow, and build long-term wealth.

This is a role for a systems-minded product leader who loves orchestrating deeply complex back-end mechanics into elegant, confidence-building user moments. It’s high-impact, high-visibility, and central to Questrade’s growth strategy.

How Will I Make An Impact

Funding is the gateway to financial participation. When customers can move money quickly and safely, they invest sooner, convert at higher rates, and build trust in the platform.

You will be accountable for the end-to-end infrastructure that powers this pivotal step: spanning banking integrations, treasury workflows, regulatory requirements, risk controls, and front-end experience.

What You’ll Own

Set the Strategy

• Build and own the roadmap for core account funding, with a laser focus on reducing “time to usable capital.”
  
• Identify high-leverage opportunities across systems, policy, and user experience to dramatically improve speed and reliability.
  

Translate Complexity Into Clarity

• Convert detailed regulatory, banking, and treasury requirements into crisp user stories and technical specifications.
  
• Partner with Engineering to deliver solutions that balance speed, safety, and scale.
  

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment

• Work across Engineering, Operations, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance to collapse complex, multi-day workflows into simple, intuitive customer experiences.
  
• Champion “compliance by design”, ensuring new capabilities are secure, compliant, and audit-ready from day one.
  

Instrument & Optimize the Flow

• Map, instrument, and continuously monitor the capital movement pipeline end-to-end.
• Use data to diagnose bottlenecks and prioritize systemic improvements across technology, policy, and operations.

What Success Looks Like in Your First Year

• A measurable reduction in time-to-funded-account, with a corresponding double-digit lift in new-account conversion.
  
• A major funding or onboarding enhancement launched at scale, such as an instant deposit method or a significantly simplified flow.
• A trusted perspective on tradeoffs, confidently guiding teams through speed-vs-risk decisions with data and clarity.

How Do I Know This is For Me?

A System-Level Thinker

You’ve built or owned products reliant on complex back-end systems, APIs, or legacy infrastructure  and you know how to turn that complexity into user-facing simplicity.

Data-Driven to the Core

You’re hands-on with tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Looker. You don’t stop at reporting metrics; you trace issues to their root cause and act decisively.

A Cross-Functional Leader

You can align teams with high stakes and divergent incentives, Risk, Legal, Engineering, Operations, around a shared outcome.

Bonus Points

• Experience in FinTech, payments, banking transfers, capital movement, or brokerage operations.
  
• A track record of simplifying fragmented workflows and breaking down organizational silos.
  
• Exposure to products with heavy regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, Payments).
