- Lead the evolution from a technically strong MVP to a scalable, secure, and resilient platform.
- Define technical vision and architecture to enable stability, scale, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen delivery discipline — ensuring documentation, process, and predictability across the team.
- Partner closely with the founder to translate business goals into technical strategy and outcomes.
- Build confidence with banks, auditors, and enterprise clients by demonstrating security, compliance, and control.
- Coach and elevate a capable engineering team, fostering clarity, accountability, and calm execution.

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:
- Experienced senior engineering or technology leader (Head of Engineering, Director, or early-stage CTO) who’s guided small, high-performing teams through scale.
- Deep technical fluency in modern, secure, enterprise-grade web and cloud systems - including C#, .NET, React, Next.js, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
- Strength in architecture, DevOps, and secure systems design.
- Excellent communicator - able to bridge technical and business worlds with confidence and clarity.
- Calm, credible presence - able to hold their own in conversations with banks, auditors, and compliance partners.
- High EQ - leads with empathy, maturity, and precision; builds trust quickly and maintains it through change.
- Thrives in lean, mission-driven environments where excellence and execution go hand in hand.

The Process
- Introductory conversation with your Artemis Canada partner to learn more about your background and what you’re looking for.
- Initial discussion with the founder to explore mutual fit and leadership alignment.
- Deeper technical conversations with the founder and technical stakeholders.
- Final stage: reference conversations and collaborative working session to align on roadmap vision and leadership style.
And of course, Ashley Gallant, will work closely with you throughout every step of the process.
