We are an in-office culture (not right now) with offices in the heart of downtown Toronto.

What you'll do
Culture:

Employee engagement and morale

Build annual and quarterly strategic plans with your team

Develop and maintain employee KPIs
HR:
-
Communicate and educate employees on HR policies and programs encompassing all aspects of HR management, including employment guidelines and procedures, employee engagement, and employee development.

Process HR documentation and requests including offer letters, contractual agreements, employment confirmation letters, employment verifications etc.

Analyze the effectiveness of HR operations and policies
-
Strategic Workforce PlanningContribute and support the business strategy and associated change management efforts

Have a passion for DIB initiatives and strategies
-
Identify opportunities to enhance employee experience and improve productivity

Do I Have What It Takes?
-
Post-Secondary degree, preferably with a focus in Human Resources
-
5+ years of experience in a HR/People and Culture role at a startup
-
Familiarity and comfort with recruiting in a technical environment
-
Experience coaching, leading and mentoring a People team
-
Expert understanding of various talent attraction search channels, and how they can be effectively leveraged within talent acquisition
-
Proven social recruitment skills including pipeline building and fostering of relationships
-
A combination of HR experience in the following areas: Organizational design, performance management, diversity and inclusion, business consulting, compensation and rewards, employee engagement, coaching and development, talent management, conflict resolution, talent acquisition, data analysis, and employee relations
-
Experience leading and developing a team of committed employees in a growing environment with cultural differences
-
Excellent interpersonal and proven relationship management skills
-
Ability to proactively balance a varied workload, deal with conflicting priorities and demonstrate flexibility where required
-
Experience in strategic planning and implementation
