How Will I Make An Impact?

As the Head, Engineering Operations you will provide leadership and process expertise to multiple teams of engineers. Your work will enable teams to deliver technical solutions and cloud migration to top customers while you manage overall project delivery, resource planning, and management for a broad portfolio of loyalty and customer technology systems.

​

Bond Brand's amazing recent growth - the engineering team has grown from 80 to 250 - means that what used to work before for a mid-size team is not as efficient or successful now. As the leader of Engineering Operations, you'd ensure consistent high-quality delivery to customers while also operationalizing and streamlining processes to mirror their growth. 

​

You will: 

  • Build and lead multiple teams of engineers and provide technical expertise and leadership to support the on-time and on-budget delivery of client solutions

  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices and development standards

  • Implement and govern delivery best practices, to enable teams to work in a fast-paced agile environment

  • Lead the migration of existing technology solutions to the cloud (Microsoft Azure)

  • Support the enterprise SOC 2 compliance implementation

  • Implement and govern the process improvement process

  • Effective resource and budget management to ensure that resource and revenue forecasts are aligned, and that project hours forecast are tracking with actuals.

  • Collaborate across the organization including sales, strategy, client operations, and other teams to provide technical design and accurate pricing based on sound assumptions for resourcing and build costs as part of the business development process.

  • Communicates status, issues, and risks effectively to client team members

  • Inspire, and advocate for your team, coach and mentor direct and indirect reports to manage career paths and develop talent.

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

To succeed in (and enjoy!) this role, you have: 

  • Proven ability in driving and influencing organizational and technical change

  • Demonstrated engineering background in multiple disciplines including system architecture, Software development, system administration, database design.

  • Experience with building technical roadmaps and implementing engineering best practices

  • Proven leadership experience 

  • Hands-on experience with major Cloud providers’ infrastructure and services (Microsoft Azure) 

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies 

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial processes within an agency or professional services organization including resource allocation and management, and financial management including billing, invoicing, financial planning, and reporting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence and build consensus amongst many stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate advanced technical concepts to non-technical audiences

The Process:

After an initial introductory call with myself (Negin), the interview process is:

1. Interview with HR Business Partner

2. Interview with Hiring Manager

3. Interview with key team members

4. Interview with cross-functional business leaders

5. Interview with external consultant

6. Final lunch or dinner with CEO, CFO/COO, and Hiring Manager
